Director of Compliance

As the Director of Compliance at Oakwell Ventures, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing compliance initiatives related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and other regulatory requirements in the health and wellness industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain rigorous standards and practices, ensuring that our products and communications are accessible and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs that align with ADA, WCAG, and other applicable regulations for health and wellness products and digital assets.Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations and provide guidance on how they impact the business.

• Collaborate with product development teams to ensure products meet accessibility standards and compliance requirements.

• Evaluate and improve existing processes, policies, and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.Work with the marketing team to ensure that digital content and marketing materials meet accessibility standards.Conduct audits, assessments, and internal reviews to identify and address areas of non-compliance.

• Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance standards and best practices.

• Establish and maintain relationships with external consultants, legal counsel, and regulatory agencies.

• Respond to and manage compliance-related inquiries, complaints, and potential violations.

• Report regularly to senior management and leadership on compliance status, issues, and potential areas of risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, or a legal field.

• A relevant advanced degree or certification is preferred.

• Extensive experience in compliance management, particularly in the health and wellness industry.

• In-depth knowledge of ADA, WCAG, and other accessibility and regulatory standards.

• Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape in the consumer goods and health and wellness sector.Exceptional attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to educate and influence others.

• Proven ability to develop and implement compliance programs and policies.

• Adaptability and a commitment to staying current with evolving regulations and standards.
